I found that in the past it is the details that make a product exceptional rather than just good. The unit arrived packed in cardboard, styrofoam and wood panels reinforcing the box. This made it undamaged and it survived the fed Ex delivery system with flying colors. After unpacking a tension bolt an upright bolt and a locking handle needed to be installed to complete the set up on the machine. It comes with a test belt so you can test out your new purchase however pre ordering a few belts will make your wait time to using it a lot quicker. Craftsmanship and quality is exceptional with firm lock downs and threads that are not filled with paint make it easy to adjust. The belts track well and you will not slip them even when slack grinding. I think if you are making the decision to step up your metal working be it knife making or welding projects you will find this to be a professorial quality tool that does rival units costing over 2000.00 dollars. Set up and change from contact wheel is simple and fast. Belts track true. Powerful for a 1.5 hp motor never bogs down. Highly recommend especially for the price.
