the hands-on applied study of robotics built using Lego Mindstorms/Tetrix/VEX Educational Robotics components and/or other open source components, divided into many specialized fields that cover their cyber-physical interactive system, sub systems including power, Touch, Light, Color, Rotational, and ultrosonic sensors, control using a micro-controller such as Mindstorms or Arduino, and application programming using either Java or RobotC or EasyC programming software. Students work on grade and skill appropriate projects and choose their choice of programming language.

Objectives: Introduce real world programming skills. Perform programming-centric robotic projects. Students will learn to design, build and program robots with one or more of the following sensors: Ultrasonic, Touch, Sound, Light/Color, and Infrared, Gyro, etc. Students choose programming oriented robotic projects. They will build autonomous robots with transport and simple robotic arm mechanisms and functionality and understaning 3 degrees of mechanical freedom, and optionally integrate basic vision sub-system.
Emphasis on problem-solving, self-confidence, critical thinking, habits of mind, team collaboration, Learning how to learn, technical report writing, etc.

- Period I: 10 AM to 11.40 AM (K - 12th grade - Reserved for Home School and Independent Study Students)
- Period II: 3.00 PM to 4.40 PM (K - 7th grade)
- Period III: 4.40 PM to 6.20 PM (K - 7th grade)
- Period IV: 6.20 PM to 8.00 PM (8th - 12th grade - Preferred time for High School Students)
- Period I: 9:00 AM to 10:40 AM
- Period II: 11:00 AM to 12:40 PM
- Period III: 1:00 PM to 2:40 PM
Additional Notes: Year-Round Open Enrollment. Class Participation is Once a week for 100 minutes. Optional free open lab available depending the project. 3 month course fee: $620. Lab/Material fee $60 applies. Mathobotix lab will provide project specific materials and components. One mentor for every 2 students. 2 make-up classes allowed. No-prorating for missed classes.
