During the marathon mission, symbolized on their patch by an Olympic torch, Gemini 7 served as a rendezvous target for the Gemini 6 spacecraft, which was launched 11 days after Gemini 7 launched. NOTE: On the official patch the crew wore, the emblem did not list the astronaut's names.
