Patch commemorating the first landing of the Falcon 9 1st stage rocket at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on 21 December 2015.   The successful landing occurred on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) 10 minutes after the Falcon9 rocket launched from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) just a few miles away from LZ-1.  The launch was part of the ORBCOMM-OG2 mission which placed a global communications satellite in orbit.

CRS-9 SpaceX Mission Patch

CRS-9 Dragon Resupply Mission to deliver critical cargo to the International Space Station (ISS) for NASA.  The Falcon9 rocket carrying the Dragon capsule was launched from Launch Complex 40 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on 18 July 2016, with the Falcon9 first stage successfuly landing about 10 minutes later on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) located a few miles away from Complex 40.   The Dragon capsule returned to earth on 25 August 2016 carrying 3,100 pounds of cargo.  The Dragon remained attached to the ISS for over 1 month

The Falcon9 rocket booster successfully landed on SpaceX’s Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida after deploying the Dragon spacecraft.  This mission marks the first reflight of a Dragon Capsule and the 100th launch from complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

Dragon returned to Earth on 3 July 2017 from the International Space Station (ISS)
