Below is a brief summary of water level requirements per the lease between the town and the owners of the pond. Keep in mind there are many variables which can alter these target levels such as whether there is enough water flow upstream and downstream, flooding, droughts etc.

Basically Mother Nature dictates a lot of the water level. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any other questions you may have.

September Water Level

Provided that there is enough water flowing into the pond to sustain it, the lease calls for the Pond to remain full during the month of September barring a hurricane emergency for which there would be a lot of warning and communication.

October Water level

The normal water level range for October per the lease is between full pond and -12”.

November Water level

The normal water level range for November per the lease is between 30 to 36" below spillway level.

December 1st to March 31st Water level

The normal water level range for December through March per the lease is between spillway level and -48" below spillway level.

April Water Level

The normal water level range for April per the lease is -12”.

May Water Level

The normal water level range for May per the lease is between full pond and -12”.

June 1st to September 30th Water level

The normal water level range for June through September per the lease is spillway or full level.
