Paradox Wines Spring Newsletter 2017

The Rain:

This was one of the top five years in the last 130 years for rain. The whole N. CA grape growing region has recieved plenty of water and hopefully will have plenty in reseve for the entire year.  This bodes well for a good harvest with prices returning to more competitive levels.  We'll see what things look like at harvest time 2017!

The Change:

Regulatory changes affecting the 17/20 type of ABC license Paradox held for six years would have severely restricted participation at events and direct to consumer sales (the kind that saves you $$!). Therefore we decided not to renew that license to consider applying for a new 02 license with alternaing proprietorship ("AP"). Getting an 02-AP license requires a relationship with an existing bonded 02 licensed winery. Finding a new host winery is a complicated process and the new application process usually takes several months.

It made sense to sell all of the existing inventory and reduce all overhead costs In order to make changes of this nature.  We apologize for not having any wine currently for sale but there are a few restaurants and shops that may have some in stock so if you are interested contact us.

While it's unclear whether and when a new situation will happen we will post updates when we have news.

The Meantime:

During the hiatius if you have questions or would like consulting services please feel free to get in touch.

The Team:

These changes have also resulted in changes in the Paradox team.  After eight years together various partners have taken on different responsiblities and taken different paths.  Dominic and Karen will remain the stewards of Paradox and have added a new Marketing and Sales Associate, Jere Ingram.

Cheers and thanks for your support!

Another party!

The holidays are nearly upon us. We don't want to rush things, but we figured why not have an early celebration with our friends. Friends of Paradox, that is!
